We are here for you! You are why we come to work, put in hours of training, come in on our days off to staff community events, and hopefully see you in the grocery store after we saw you on your worst day. We are dedicated to creating safer communities through prevention, education, and providing the best response possible.
To serve you, we work with our administrations to ensure the health and safety of our members. This is accomplished via negotiations with respective management to ensure fair wages, benefits, and working conditions for our members. We advocate for improved safety standards and equipment to protect our members and you. We can’t help you without adequate staffing and healthy responders!
Local 3219 recognizes that emergency preparedness and response are only two aspects of what it means to serve our communities. We are passionate about public education and supporting charities and other organizations. Our departments hold community education events, including CPR, Stop the Bleed, car-seat fittings, and fall prevention classes. L3219 also participates in “Fill the Boot” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, “Operation Warm,” which provides jackets to school children in need during the winter, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Firefighter Stairclimb.
